The photos that follow are unimaginable . But they actually fall out . The entries for this week’sShooting Challengeare complex , stacking subject from the same place at different moment in clip . The result will turn your brain in the good way :
Lead Shot – Black Car, White Car
The picture is taken on top of a burrow , with whitened cars going in and black car coming out , no pollution joke intend . The main idea I had before I took the shot was to capture contrast and movement , which is why I pick vehicles as a subject . I adopt well over 100 dissimilar photographs and I probably used 25 guess to make this one . I think the hardest part was to estimate the position of the cars and the amount of white and black vehicle . I made it even harder for myself by incidentally moving the tripod ever so slightly during the session , which was quite annoying afterward in the position processing .

Double Rainbow, All The Way, Etc Etc
I fix up the shot about 20 yards away from the bicycle course . Because of the angle , I needed a somewhat large astuteness of field AND a fast shutter speed to have any luck of getting the bikers in focussing . I in the end determine on f/6.3 , with a shutter stop number of 1/100″ , and an ISO of 400 . There was still more apparent movement fuzz than I would have liked for most of the study , but I ’m still getting a spirit for how fast my shutter need to be to suspend different case of movement . At first , I did n’t really have a plan for the composing … but after a few tie - dyed shirt passed by I had the idea of make a rainbow of colors . I take about 200 shots , and used 26 of them in the final composite . Post processing work in GIMP aim about 5 hours … over 4 of which were spent make the level masks . Canon EOS Rebel T1i , Canon EF - S 17 - 55 millimetre f/2.8 IS USM Lens , Wireless shutter release

Look, It’s The Goodyear Blimp!
I was walking back from buck at various intersections in the urban center when I looked up and saw the blimp . now I take my tripod out in the train post and started taking exposure of the nighttime sky every 15 sec or so ( and missed a few string in the process ) . This last instant thought cease up being more successful than the 700 + depiction I took business district ( of course ) . Canon T2i , 1/60 , f/6.3 , ISO 100 , 34 mm .

Skate Park
This serial of pictures were claim at a skating park near the beach in Barcelona ( 41.397704ºN , 2.210632ºE if you require to see it in Google Maps ) . I took about 100 of them , then pick out the 15 most interesting ace , which I then proceed to import into PS for stack and editing . This get my computer to a creep , since the PSD was 600 MB and the photoshop temporary file was 8 GB ! canyon EOS 450D with Tokina 11 - 16 mm f2.8 crystalline lens . 1/250 , f/8 and ISO 400 .

The Birds
K , so first off I would care to say , I am NEVER going to do this again … I consider this would be fun … .Go down to the lift bridge ( duluth , mn ) and take some picture of seagulls … .Pretty easy I thought . I did n’t think there would be enough time to put together anything else . I by all odds get some funny looks . I guess it was n’t ideal to set my tripod right next to a busy sidewalk . But I knew this was a popular field for tourists to give the psycho seagulls . Anyway , I take a few dozen moving-picture show and called it good . fiddling did I know how much work was ahead of me . I intend it ’s crucial to mention that I have never used photoshop . So I know it ’s not even close to perfect . I likely did everything the hard way . Who knows . I was decidedly worried about completing this challenge . But I did a little inquiry and found GIMP . I already had it establish , but I never really had the ambition to determine the ins and out . So I determine out a few youtube vids and off I went . Some 8 hours later and somewhere around 10 layer , I called it good . Honestly I was just queasy of it . My promontory hurts . And for what ! ? Stupid gull … .

Winner – Flight Control
Had a really corking thought for a andiron - colligate composite shot , but as you could tell from this pic(s ) , the atmospheric condition draw , and so nobody came out to the dog park 😛 Then think I ’d seek to get something nerveless with sailboats on the embayment , but I guess nobody sails when it ’s drizzly 😛 remainder up with the planes . Shot about 725 pics ( every plain I shoot rapid fire from entering soma to exit ) as I was n’t sure if I was going to do a flight path sort of matter or what … decide to go for a push-down stack rather than nose to tail tho . Shot with a Rebel XS using a 28 - 105 lense . ISO 100 , f9 , 1/400 sec , and cloudy white balance setting ( uh , yeah ) .
