I just noticed I ’ve spent $ 55 at AllofMP3 since I discovered it about 6 months ago or so . Excepting alive euphony , that ’s more money than I ’ve spent on euphony in years . Yeah , yeah , I ’m a nasty creative person - hating plagiariser , whatever . All I ’m saying is , I ’m uncoerced to pass money when I can download what I desire at a cost that I regard reasonable .
For the track record , I corrupt about $ 20 worth of music from iTunes over the same 6 calendar month period , “ stripped ” the DRM using HYMN / Playfair ( so I could institutionalize it to some friends , if you must know ) , and then was saddened to discover that later updates of iTunes not only “ un - stripped ” the DRM , it broke the files so that I ca n’t reauthorize them and listen to them now . That ’s okay ; I broke their rules , they broke my filing cabinet . But I ’m not buying anything that I want to keep from them any longer , either .
