And based on the messages discovered within , some kids of the late sixties had a pretty creepy-crawly vision for the future . Or , perhaps , a creepy imaginativeness oftheir present .
Some of the missive discovered in the 1968 capsule are , of course , from kids who wrote about their favorite telecasting shows ( Lost in Space ) andtheir favorite bands(The Monkees ) . But one kid named Greg Lee Youngman save about how he ’s really stagnant . He sign the letter with , “ See you later savages . ” It reads :
I am beat . I go to Montgomery School . That is the olden school day name . I was expect 1900 . You auto now I beat . My favorite subject is spook the police . I meet the guitar . In case you do n’t know what it is , it is board with strings on then . I am 10 years old . See you later savages .
It could not be corroborate by press time whether Greg Lee Youngman was now , in fact , dead . And I theorise it also could n’t be confirmed by pressing time whether Youngman was also a spectre who liked playing guitar in 1968 .
Whenever kids make meter capsules , they ’re often told to write messages to the hereafter . This unremarkably gives us a middling unvarnished perspective on tomorrow in the way that only nestling can .
