Dell is shaking things up for the new year . It is dropping nearly all of its laptops ’ branding , which includes the popularXPSand Latitude , in favour of something it claims is simpler . So , what is Dell call this new generation of AI laptop ? Well , it ’s just Dell .
Dell laptops are being split into three categories : Dell , Dell Pro , and Dell Pro Max . Dell laptops are intend for work and meet . Dell Pro is plan for “ professional - level productivity , ” while the Dell Pro Max is about eminent - terminal carrying out .
At its annual pressure conference , Dell explained that its “ co-ordinated stigmatisation across Dell ’s PC portfolio makes it well-situated to find the proper microcomputer . ” Is that true ? have ’s look at some of the rebranding a little closer .

The Dell XPS , Inspiron , and Inspiron Plus will all fall under the Dell product argument . However , the XPS will now be love as a Dell Premium , while the Inspiron Plus will now be call in the Dell Plus .
Here ’s where thing get perplexing . The Latitude is part of the Dell Pro note , which includes base , Plus , and Premium configurations .
We are n’t done . The Dell Pro Max replaces the Precision line of laptops , which come in radix , Plus , and Premium configuration .
So , if you were looking for a young employment laptop , you ’d plausibly want a Dell Premium . Or a Dell Pro Premium . Or Dell Pro Max base model . Visually , these are different laptop computer , but I would n’t know that free-base on the names .
