A new X - light beam analysis of molten iron has reveal that the Earth ’s inner core is 1,000 degrees hotter than previously think .
The new measurement , which were made by Agnes Dewaele from the French research federal agency CEA , along with member of the French National Center for Scientific Research CNRS and the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility ESRF in Grenoble , now sets the temperature of the Earth ’s inner center at a hot 6,000 level Anders Celsius .
It ’s a figure that tally up well with other estimates suggesting a temperature divergence between the unanimous centre and the mantle above of at least 1,500 degrees — a contributing factor to the bearing of the Earth ’s charismatic field of view .

The researchers establish that iron has a melt spot of 4,800 degree Anders Celsius at 2.2 million atmospheres of air pressure ( up to 200 GPa ) . Extrapolating this to 3.3 million atmospheres — the estimated pressure between the fluid and firm core — the scientsts touch their figure of 6,000 degrees Celsius ( + /- 500 ) , or 6,230 K .
