Tonight sees a brand name new episode of Fringe , in which many of our questions will credibly be respond . But there ’s one inquiry that Fringe wo n’t be tackling , tonight or any other time : What happened to Lincoln Lee after he go to know in the other universe at the final stage of season four ?
We spoke to Seth Gabel , who take on Lincoln , and he gave us his possibility about what ’s happening with Lincoln now . He also tell us a bunch about Count Vertigo , the supervillain he ’s playing on The CW ’s pointer . Minor spoilers onwards …
We were favorable enough to babble out on the phone with Gabel , as part of the interview he ’s doing to support his fresh motion picture Allegiance , a motion picture made by a military veteran that mostly asterisk veterans , which is available on VOD decent now . Here ’s what Gabel tell us :
On what Lincoln Lee is likely doing now :
I think he ’s blissfully make baby with the other Olivia in the other universe . That ’s what I would do . They ’re emphatically in the Fringe building block on the Other Side , so tragedy could strike . But they ’re both middling skilled , and I intend the two of them complete each other in such a manner that only makes them strong . So I suppose they ’re pretty badass over there .
On how DC Comics ’ Count Vertigo was changed for his coming into court on Arrow in January :
I consider they did a prissy dour adjustment of the Count Vertigo character . They ’ve taken his power [ of vertigo and freak out ] and manifested that in a drug called Vertigo . Which I kind of push on the citizen of Starling City and acquire bully superpower and wealthiness . And in the end that dissemble the Arrow character of the Hood , and he eventually comes and hunts me down . I welcome that challenge , because I really need to turn out myself to be the most powerful entity in Starling City . So we ’ve got a bad fight on our hands . …
I have essentially like an army of street tough behind me . So I kind of rule them like some kind of European monarch [ and ] have them do my dictation . So the Arrow has to get through all of those guys in ordination to get to me . And by then , I ’m hoping he ’s pretty tired out before we have our showdown .
Why would anybody require to corrupt a drug that gives them a cause of vertigo ?
Well , it ’s a controlled type of vertigo , as I call it . It makes you feel like you ’re walk on air . It kind of devote you this euphoria . That ’s when the drug ’s take away orally . If you were to shoot the drug into your system , it ’s different for everyone , what the effects could be . So that ’s what makes it a real menacing threat to Starling City .
The fun of play a supervillain
It ’s the most playfulness I ’ve ever had play a part . normally I play fiber that I have to be strand in reality , and I have to be realistic . And with this , I felt free to be over the top . And I was able to confide that the setting of the show would keep it grounded in something real . So I really had play , and really took risk of exposure that I ’ve never taken with eccentric before , and start to express side of myself that I ’ve never really gotten on plastic film before … [ The Count is ] very playful . I ’m hoping there ’s some memorable moment .
On his getup and accoutrement
There ’s a pot of black . And I wear upon these fingerless gloves that I think are really cool . I buzz off very finical about the type of gun that I want the character to have . I was test to figure out what the most daunting way to hold back a gas is , so I prove all these firm scarey ways of hold back it . But then I realized the more the character is loose with the hit man , and the more it ’s just kind of this reckless file name extension of himself , and he does n’t even have to consider about it , I realized that ’s the scariest thing about it . So as a king of the street , I just wanted him to have this thing around . But he could drop it at any minute , or he could use it to drink down you at any second .
Will the Count be recur ?
It ’s definitely possible . That was in spades part of the initial discussions of the character . And it ’ll just depend on the logistics of the show , and their schedule , and what they have planned for the time of year .
Does he get any scenes with John Barrowman ?
I do n’t think I should say . [ Laughs ]
