Brooke Shieldsis back with a sunny new rom-com.
The actress, 58, stars as Lana in the first photo from Netflix’sMother of the BrideoppositeMiranda Cosgrove, who plays her daughter Emma. The film also stars Sean Teale,Chad Michael Murray, Rachael Harris, Benjamin Bratt, Michael McDonald, Wilson Cruz, Tasneem Roc and Dalip Sondhi.
Per a synopsis, “Lana’s daughter Emma returns from abroad and drops a bombshell: She’s getting married.” The destination wedding will be in one month in Thailand.
“Things only get worse when Lana learns that the man who captured Emma’s heart is the son of the man who broke hers years ago.”

In April 2023, Shields celebrated the start of production onMother of the Bride,writingon Instagram, “Let the adventure begin!! Filming is officially underway for our new @netflix movie #MotheroftheBride. So excited to spend time with my amazing costars! Can’t wait for a few more to get here.”
Shields, who ismom to daughters Rowan and Grier, joked that February when her casting was announced, “Hoping my future mother of the bride duties are far less dramatic than this. So excited to get to work on #MotherOfTheBride!!”
