Gwyneth Paltrowisn’t the only celeb jumping on the bone broth train. It turns outShailene Woodleyhas been a fan of the hot drink for a while.

TheInsurgentstar appeared on theLate Show with David Lettermanon Monday where she explained her love of the trendy beverage.

“I’ve been into bone broth for a long time and it’s really cool because now there is this whole Paleomovement and it’s getting a lot of attention,” she said. “What I think is beautiful about it is that you’re using the whole animal. You’re not just seeking out that perfect cut of muscle meat.”

Woodley — who drinks “a little in the morning” — also gave the intrigued host a lesson on the broth-making process. Explaining the difference between bone broth and beef stock, she said: “A stock is made, I think, between 2 and 5 hours and a broth is brewed anywhere from 24 to 36 hours.”

Letterman, who also brought up Woodley’slove of drinkable clay, asked if she’s experienced any benefits of the two trends. “[With] bone broth, I notice a big difference,” she said. “It’s known to be helpful with leaky gut or irritable bowel syndrome.”

When the host explained that he’s looking for “something that will be chemically beneficial and tasty.” Woodley replied, “Well, I find bone broth to be both of those things.”

1 cup grass feed beef broth1 tbsp. coconut oilpinch of salt1 cup ginger teapinch of tumeric1 tbsp. colostrum
