Wolverines are the heavy terra firma - dwell fellow member of the weasel folk , and are typically nongregarious . They may trip as many as 24 kilometers ( 15 international nautical mile ) in search of food , and have an opportunistic omnivorous diet of plants and berries as well as little rodents and coney .
“ Wolverines can move bang-up distances , making it likely that the late sightings are all of the same animal , ” said CDFW Senior Environmental Scientist Daniel Gammons in astatement . “ Because only two wolverine have been confirmed in California during the last 100 years , these late catching are exciting . ”
Wolverine population are more rich in area such as Alaska , Canada , and Russia because , according to theNational Wildlife Federation , they expect deep snow to nascence and rear their youthful , which can be as many as five kit at a time .
